Please read this page all the way through, as it contains important information about creating a specific type of page.

Introductory Paragraph

Airline/CRP pages should begin with an introductory paragraph in a similar format to an airport page. This paragraph should give a brief overview of the airline, and should be written in the following format:

[Name of airline/CRP group in bold text], (ICAO: ___, IATA:___), more commonly known as [abbreviated/commonly used shorthand name] (example, USX International Airways, also known as USX), is a [international/regional/charter/commuter, etc] airline based at [name of airport] in [City, Province, Country]. [General statistics, i.e. "it is the largest airline in _____ by fleet size", or "it operates over ___ flights daily" ].

An example would be:

"USX International Airways (ICAO: USX, IATA: US), often referred to as USX, is an American semi-low-cost airline headquartered in Morrisville, North Carolina, close to Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Currently, USX operates over sixty daily flights to nineteen destinations in the United States."

The introductory paragraph MUST contain the above information at a minimum.

History Of The Airline

The next short paragraph should contain a brief history of the airline including but not limited to when it was founded, who founded it, its hubs and focus cities and any major changes it has gone through from the date it was founded to present day.

An example would be:

"USX International Airways was founded by user 'Tundra' in 2020 as a low-cost airline focused on distinguishing itself by providing more amenities. In late 2020, USX was awarded 50 initial take-off/landing slots at Raleigh-Durham International Airport and 75 from Charlotte Douglas International Airport. USX received its airline operations certificate in February 2021, and commenced operations on 19 September"

NOTE: When mentioning a specific user, it should be assumed that readers know nothing about the user. A username should be in quotations (" "), proceeded by the word "user".

An example is:

Generic Airlines was founded by user "Joe Schmoe".

Destinations

If applicable, a list of the destinations should be compiled into a table. The table should include [1] The country in which the destination is located, [2] the city in which the destination airport is located, [3] the official full name of the destination airport, and [4] a column for notes. Additional noteworthy information should be placed in the notes column. Optional categories may include state/province of the destination, and the destinations classification (i.e. hub, seasonal, etc). Please see the example below.

Example:
Country City Airport Notes
France Paris Paris Orly Airport
Canada Montreal Montreal-Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport

For an Air Traffic Control group, the list of destinations should be replaced with a list of airports that are served by the group.

Fleet

A virtual airline's fleet should be listed in table form, proceeded by a short overview paragraph. The table should list [1] The full name of the aircraft (example Boeing 737-800), [2] the number of aircraft in operation, and [3] a column for notes, which may specify important information regarding the aircraft. Additional categories are optional, and may include aircraft on order, seating capacity, and registration of real-life counterparts.

See example below.

Aircraft Units In Service Notes Extra Categories (Optional)
Airbus A220-100 3
Boeing 717-200 5
Aerospatiale ATR-42 2

If a virtual airline has a real life counterpart, differences in the fleet of the virtual airline and it's counterpart should be noted by labeling fictional aircraft in italics, or by labeling real aircraft in bold.

Codeshares (Optional)

If a virtual airline has codeshare(s) with other virtual airlines, the author may choose to list them in the following format:

Airline CEO Username Route Route ICAO

See example below (taken from Air Canada):
